Lernräume und ihre Vernetzung : im Zusammenhang zwischen Schule und Stadt

Abstract

Die veränderte Nutzung und Wahrnehmung von Räumen lässt im Bereich der Bil-dung neue Lernräume entstehen, die über die Schule hinausreichen. Die neuen Bildungsziele wie Lernerfahrungen, Wissen und Kompetenzen verlangen nach einem strukturellen Wandel der Bildungseinrichtungen: Ein Lösungsansatz liegt in der Verbindung der verschiedenen Institutionen. In diesem Netzwerk wird der Freiraum zwischen den Institutionen bedeutsam. Das Umfeld der Schule, der öffentliche Raum, wird als wichtiger Bildungsraum anerkannt: In den Beziehungen von Schule und Stadt liegt die Möglichkeit, die verschiedenen Bildungsmodalitäten miteinander zu verbinden. Die vorliegende Arbeit geht von der These aus, dass der Stadttraum über die Verbindung zwischen den Bildungsinstitutionen als Lernort und Bildungsraum (zurück)erobert wird. Wie lässt sich der öffentliche Stadtraumes als Bildungsraum nutzen und verändern? Wie entstehen und verknüpfen sich die Lernräume in und mit der Stadt? Am Beispiel des Wiener Bildungsgrätzl Schönbrunn wird aufgezeigt wie die verschiedenen Institutionen sich vernetzen, den Raum Aneignen und als Akteure in der Gestaltung von Stadträumen aktiv werden. Der Fokus der Akteure bleibt dabei auf den formalen Räumen der Kindergärten, Schulen und der Kultureinrichtungen, während die nicht formalen Partner dieser Bildungslandschaft erst allmählich eingebunden werden. Von den Plätzen und Straßen bis ins Schulgebäude hinein: Wie die Lernräume zwischen Schule und Stadt zusammenhängen, wird in dieser Arbeit nachgezeichnet.

Due to the altered use and perception of spaces within the scope of education new learning spaces arise which extend beyond the school. New educational goals demand structural change,bringing forth the importance of connecting educational establishments within each other offers one possible approach to a solution of this task. This network embraces the significance of open space. The surroundings of the school, the public space is acknowledged as an important part of the educational space, creating synergy between city and school gives the opportunity to interconnect modalities of education. The presented thesis evolves from the hypothesis that urban space must be regained as pubic realm and a place of learning. How can public city space become part of educational space? How do learning spaces emerge and intertwine with the city? This study uses the Viennese Project Bildungsgrätzl Schönbrunn as an example that shows how the various institutions communicate with each other and so become protagonists that organize and shape city space. The focus of these actors, however, remains on the formal space of schools and institutions, while the informal partners of this educational landscape become gradually visible. From the city spaces and places of the community to the learning spaces of schools: the purpose of this study is to outline how school and city find together in an urban educational landscape.
