Der Beschaffungs- und Produktionsvorgang in der Global Bike Austria GmbH nach der Systemumstellung auf SAP S/4HANA

Abstract

Softwaresysteme von SAP (Produkte des Unternehmens SAP SE) werden auf S/4HANA umgestellt. In dieser Arbeit sollen der Beschaffungs- und Produktionsprozess einer Übungsfirma im neuen System getestet werden. Diese Übungsfirma stellt eine Lernplattform für Auszubildende dar und bildet somit eine Basis für deren weitere berufliche Zukunft. Als Ausgangssituation für die Tests dient ein Übungsskript, welches die Prozesse, Daten sowie die zugehörigen Transaktionen und auch die gewünschten Ergebnisse der Schritte in der Vorgängerversion, SAP ECC 6.0, zeigt. Die Forschungsfrage lautet: Welche Prozesse, Daten und zugehörigen Transaktionen aus dem Übungsskript funktionieren nach der Systemumstellung einwandfrei, sprich liefern dieselben Ergebnisse, und bei welchen treten Fehler auf? Das Ziel ist somit die Überprüfung aller im Übungsskript gezeigten Prozesse und Daten sowie der zugehörigen Transaktionen auf deren Funktionalität und die Validierung dieser im neuen System. Zur Beantwortung dieser Frage wird zuerst auf die Methodik des Softwaretestens eingegangen. Es wird ein Systemtest durchgeführt. Dieser kommt der Methode des Black-Box Tests nahe. Der Benutzer hat keine Information über die Programmierung, sondern führt seine Aufgaben auf User-Ebene aus. Anschließend werden relevante Hintergrundinformationen zu SAP-Systemen, Produktionsplanung und Produktionssteuerung sowie zur Übungsfirma gegeben. Die Testbeschreibung erfolgt dann in Textform und durch Screenshots. Die Ergebnisse werden in Tabellen zusammengefasst. Es wurde eine große Anzahl an Prozessen, Daten und Transaktionen getestet. Bei den insgesamt 93 durchgeführten Tests wurden 19 mit Fehlern gefunden. So kam es u.a. vor, dass Teile einer Organisation nicht angelegt waren, Abbildungen nicht mehr vorhanden waren oder Planungsabläufe nicht vollständig automatisch durchgeführt wurden. Offen bleibt, ob alle aufgetretenen Fehler auch bei einem anderen Mandanten vorkommen. Es ist daher zu empfehlen, die Tests mit einem anderen Mandanten nochmals durchzuführen und dann die Ergebnisse zu vergleichen.

SAP systems (products from the company SAP SE) will be upgraded from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA. In this thesis a softwaretest is performed. Purchasing and production processes from a virtual company, which is used for training purposes, are tested to analyse if they operate correctly in S/4HANA. The processes, the data as well as the transactions and the correct results are taken in an existing workbook which is not only the source of input but also states the correct output of each workflow within SAP ECC 6.0. The research question which should be answered in this thesis is: Which processes, data as well as transactions from the workbook operate correctly after the system upgrade and where do errors occur? To answer the research question, the first section of this thesis describes the methodology of software testing. The literature describes the performed test as a black box test. The user does not have any knowledge how the software is programmed. In the next section, relevant information about SAP systems and production planning is given as well as a description of the virtual company for which the tests are performed. Tests are described in written form and by using screenshots. The final chapter summarizes the test results. In the total of 93 tests performed, 19 tests with errors were found. Errors occurred in the customizing, the master data management or while executing the transactions. In some places requested options were no longer accessible, organizational elements were not prepared and the automatic planning run could not be carried out successfully. In conclusion it is pointed out that client-dependent information occurred within workflows: During the purchasing process, parts were planned automatically depending on what a specific user purchased previously, but not within this test procedure. It remains open whether all errors that occurred also occur with another client. It is therefore recommended to run the tests again with another client and then compare the results.
