Musikforum: Wienerberg Entwurf eines nachhaltigen Veranstaltungs- und Bildungsstandorts

Abstract

Das Thema dieser Diplomarbeit befasst sich mit der Schaffung eines neuen öffentlichen Gebäudes am Wienerberg in Wien, welcher durch die zukünftige U2 U-Bahnanbindung mehr Aufmerksamkeit im architektonischen und städtebaulichen Diskurs als Tor zu Wien erfährt.Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die bestehenden Strukturen am Wienerberg aufzuzeigen und eine neue Nutzung zu generieren, welche das Nutzerangebot vor Ort erweitern soll, aber vor allem durch die U2 ein neues Publikum an den Wienerberg langfristig bringen soll.Der gewählte Bauplatz auf der Triester Straße, südlich des bekannten Philipps Haus von Karl Schwarzer, fungiert als Bindeglied zwischen der umliegenden Bebauung der Wienerberg City und der kürzlich neu entstandenen Biotope City. Durch die Schaffung eines öffentlichen Veranstaltungs- und Bildungsgebäudes soll eine noch vorhandene Lücke vor Ort geschlossen werden.Die Arbeit befasst sich im Kern, mit der architektonischen Auseinandersetzung des Entwurfs und den neu geschaffenen Räumen und Potenzialen des Musikforums. Ziel ist die Schaffung eines langfristigen Standorts in der Musikszene, welche Musikern neuen Raum geben soll.Das zweite wichtige Thema der Arbeit, ist die Auseinandersetzung der Konstruktion und die Frage, wie wir in Zukunft, große öffentliche Gebäude nachhaltiger und ressourceneffizienter Gestalten können.Hierbei wird gezielt auf die Konstruktion eingegangen, sowie die Wahl alternativer Baustoffe von Holz -und Holzverbundsysteme, sowie Kunststoff im Hochbau. Ziel ist es sowohl Entwurf, als auch Konstruktion von Planungsbeginn aufeinander abzustimmen um möglichst effiziente Baustoffe für die gewählte Bauaufgabe zu wählen.Zusammengefasst, soll ein öffentliches Gebäude für Veranstaltungs- und Bildungsnutzung geplant werden, welches sowohl neue Nutzergruppen am Wienerberg generieren soll und sich gleichzeitig mit den bautechnischen- und Nachhaltigkeitsaspekten unserer Zeit befasst.

The topic of this thesis, is the creation of a new public building centered at the Wienerberg in Vienna, which is going to have more public and architectonical recognition due to the newly created U2 metro connection, as the gate to Vienna.Aim of this thesis is, to show the existing structres at Wienerberg and to offer new forms of usage for the inhabitants in the area, while creating a place which draws people from Vienna in a longterm effect to the new center at Wienerberg via the U2 connection.The chosen site at Triester Straße, south of the known Philipps Haus from Karl Schwarzer, acts as a link between the existing structures of the Wienerberg City and the newly created Biotope City. A gap, which still exists on this site, is to be closed by creating a new public entertainment and educational center.The thesis structures around the architectural concept of the Musikforum, and its potentials and spaces, which aims to create a longterm center and a new place for an alternative music scene.The second part of the thesis is the debate and question how to create new public buildings in the future, which aim to be more ressource efficient and sustainable as a longterm effect.For this, the construction and choice of materials are the focus, especially alternative forms of construction like wood, wood-hybrid constructions and use of plastic in buildings. The goal is, to intertwine the the concept as much as the construction for the planning phase, and chose optimal materials for the job required, with a view to the future, for possible adaptaions.In summary is the goal, to create a new public and educational center, which aims to draw in new people to the Wienerberg, while focusing on technical and sustainable topics for buildings of our curret time.
