Das Ziel ist, ein urbanes Quartier mit einer spezifischen Identität und Adresse zu schaffen. Hierfür soll das bestehende Standortprofil erweitert werden, um Unternehmen aus den Bereichen Wissenschaft/Forschung, Technologie, Medien und Kreativwirtschaft anzulocken. Durch die räumliche Verknüpfung von Wohn- und Gewerbenutzung soll ein kreativer Mix im urbanen Kontext entstehen, der durch innovative Wohnformen und hybride Gebäudestrukturen unterstützt wird. Zusätzlich soll eine Arena für Konzerte und Sportarten gebaut werden, um das Quartier weiter zu beleben und für eine vielfältige Nutzung zu sorgen. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt der Makers- und Start-up-Szene, für die am Standort Neu Marx (in Kombination mit der Marx Halle) besondere Bedingungen geschaffen werden sollen. Die Diplomarbeit ist in drei wesentliche Schritte gegliedert. Zunächst werden anhand von Untersuchungen die Lage und der städtebauliche Kontext sowie das Planungsgebiet erörtert. Anschließend wird ein Konzept entwickelt. Zuletzt werden Pläne zur Ausführung dargestellt wie Detailkonstruktionen, Grundrisse und Visualisierungen. Schlussendlich entstand eine Multifunktionsarena in Kombination mit einem Plaza, das ein neues Zentrum bildet.

The goal is to create an urban quarter with a specific identity and address. To achieve this, the existing location profile should be expanded to attract companies from the fields of science/research, technology, media, and creative industries. By linking residential and commercial use, a creative mix in the urban context should be created, supported by innovative housing forms and hybrid building structures. Additionally, an arena for concerts and sports should be built to further enliven the neighborhood and provide for diverse usage. Special attention is given to the makers and start-up scene, for which special conditions should be created at the Neu Marx site (in combination with the Marx Halle). The thesis is divided into three main steps. First, the location and urban context, as well as the planning area, will be discussed based on research. Second, a concept will be developed. Finally, plans for execution will be presented, such as detailed construction, floor plans, and visualizations. In the end, a multifunctional arena was created in combination with a plaza that forms a new center.
