Die Städte identifizieren sich durch ihre Geschichte, Kultur, Bevölkerung und Umwelt. Merkmale wir Natur und historisches Erbe verleihen der Stadt eine reiche Identität. In diesem Sinne zählt Sarajevo zu einer der ereignisreichste Städte Europas. Das heutige chaotische Stadtbild Sarajevos ist das Ergebnis von vershiedenen sozialen, kulturelle, religiösen und ökonomischen Einflüssen. Sarajevo hat stets die Verbindung zwischen dem Orient und dem Okzident symbolisiert und sich in ihrem kontinuierlichen Wachstum als das Tor nach Mitteleuropa etabliert.Sarajevo erstreckt sich längs durch ein Tal, umgeben von majestätischen Bergen. Im Verlauf ihrer bewegten Geschichte wurde die Stadt Teil unterschiedlicher Monarchien und Staatsstrukturen, die maßgeblich Einfluss auf ihre städtebauliche Gestaltung nahmen. Während man durch Sarajevo fährt, offenbaren sich die vielfältigen Einflüsse aus verschiedenen Kulturen und Epochen in der Gestaltung des öffentlichen Raums auf eindrucksvolle Weise.Aufgrund der wechselvollen Geschichte der Stadt konnte ihr Entwicklungsprozess nie vollständig abgeschlossen werden, und es gibt zahlreiche Bereiche, die das Potenzial für städtebauliche Interventionen bieten. Eines dieser Gebiete ist die Industriezone am westlichen Stadteingang, die immer noch den Charme des 20. Jahrhunderts bewahrt, aber leider in einem vernachlässigten Zustand ist. Diese Entwicklung führte dazu, dass ungeeignete Nutzungen Einzug hielten und den Raum weiter verschlechterten.Das Ziel dieser Arbeit besteht darin, nach einer sorgfältigen Analyse dem Ort eine neue, erkennbare Identität zu verleihen und gleichzeitig die Qualität und das anhaltende Wachstum dieses Stadtteils sicherzustellen. Der Entwurf zielt darauf ab, die Lebensqualität in einem erweiterten Umfeld durch die Integration neuer Elemente und die Anpassung bestehender Strukturen zu verbessern, wodurch ein Mehrwert für die städtische Gemeinschaft geschaffen wird.

Cities define themselves through their history, culture, population, and environment. Features such as nature and historical heritage endow a city with a rich identity. In this regard, Sarajevo stands as one of the most historically significant cities in Europe.The contemporary chaotic urban landscape of Sarajevo is the result of various social, cultural, religious, and economic influences. Throughout its history, the city has consistently represented the connection between East and West, a role that has, over time, evolved to make it a gateway to Central Europe.Sarajevo, with its longitudinal configuration nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains, has witnessed the influence of various monarchies and state systems throughout its history, significantly shaping its urban landscape. As one journeys through Sarajevo, it becomes evident how various cultures and eras have left their marks on the design of public spaces.Due to the turbulent historical events it has witnessed, the city has never fully completed its developmental process, offering numerous areas with potential for urban interventions. One such area is the industrial zone situated at the western entrance of the city. This area, which has maintained its structure since the 20th century, is in a state of neglect. Consequently, new inappropriate uses have emerged, further deteriorating the area.The aim of this work is to provide a new identity to this location after a thorough analysis, one that is distinct and ensures the quality and continuous development of this neighborhood. Through the introduction of new elements and the adaptation of existing ones, the design intends to enhance the quality of life in the broader area and create added value for the urban community.
