Abstract:
This paper introduces energy communities developed based on the LINK holistic approach to full integration into energy systems. Technological and market integration are needed to fully use energy communities' potential, promoting consumers' proactive participation and supporting investments into distributed energy resources. It maximises the possibilities available in urban areas for effective energy use and CO2 reduction.
