Mit nahezu 2 Millionen Einwohner ist Belgrad die größte Stadt Europas ohne U-Bahn System. Dieses Thema wird von Zeit zu Zeit seit Jahrzehnten öffentlich diskutiert. Aber bis heute sind keine wesentlichen Schritte gemacht worden. Derzeit schaut es so aus, dass die Belgrader U-Bahn Realität wird. Eine wichtige Station wird der Platz der Republik, umgeben von wichtige Institutionen wie Volksmuseum und Volkstheater. Der Belgrader Hauptplatz und die zukünftige U-Bahn-Station an dieser Stelle wird sehr bedeutend werden. Thema dieses Projekts ist, am vorgesehenen Ort einerseits eine U-Bahn-Station zu planen und die öffentliche Nutzung mit einzubeziehen. Damit soll dieses Projekt als Gateway ins Stadtzentrum sein und gleichzeitig neue Möglichkeiten und Aktivitäten anbieten.

With almost 2 million inhabitants, Belgrade is the largest city in Europe without a metro system. This topic has been publicly debated from time to time for decades. But no significant steps have been taken to date. At the moment it looks like the Belgrade metro will become a reality. An important stop will be the Republic Square, surrounded by important institutions such as the Folk Museum and the Folk Theatre. The Belgrade Main Square and the future metro station at this location will be very significant. The subject of this project is, on the one hand, to plan a subway station at the intended location and to include public use. This project aims to act as a gateway to the city center while offering new opportunities and activities.
