Abstract:
The games market has grown so significantly over the past decades. Many tools like various game engines are available to assist game development. Despite this support, only a few games manage to be successful. The research field of game development is up until now a new area and the reasons why one certain game is more entertaining are hard to grasp. The aim of this thesis is to isolate the mechanics of the most popular mobile games, analyze them and create a framework, where those mechanics can be combined and new mechanics can be easily added. The resulting game is tested on users and rated by them in terms of playability, difficulty, monetization, and likelihood to be played.
