Nachnutzungskonzepte für fünf leerstehende Geschäftslokale an der Hauptstraße in Pernitz

Abstract

Eines dieser vier Projekte ist das Vitrinen-Fünf Geschäftslokale an der Hauptstraße in Pernitz, Niederösterreich, das Strategie zur Reaktivierung und Aufwertung verlassener Geschäftsräume durch einen kreativen Prozess zu Orten sozialer Interaktion als Hauptthese dieser Arbeit thematisiert.Der theoretische Abschnitt befasst sich mit der methodischen Herangehensweise an die Projektentwicklung durch die Analyse und Untersuchung künstlerischer Praktiken, die sich mit den Konzepten von Zeit, Raum und Sozialität auseinandersetzen. Dabei wird ein Kontext geschaffen, der als Rahmen für die Erschließung neuer Projektpotenziale dient. Die Auseinandersetzung mit diesen künstlerischen Positionen ermöglicht eine erweiterte Perspektive auf die Festlegung der zentralen Themen dieser Arbeit und trägt dazu bei, ein umfassenderes Verständnis der Natur des Designs selbst zu vermitteln.Im Abschnitt der methodischen Annäherung an die Arbeit wird ein assoziativer Ansatz zur Analyse spezifischer Narrative vorgestellt, die im Mittelpunkt dieser Untersuchung stehen.Dieser Ansatz erfolgt durch eine Reihe von Definitionen zentraler Begriffe, die in engem Zusammenhang mit dem Thema stehen, und deren Einbettung in ein umfassenderes System von Symbolen und Codes. Dabei wird eine Verbindung zu verschiedenen Elementen des Werkes, wie Skizzen, Collagen und anderen Aspekten des Entwurfsprozesses, hergestellt, um eine tiefere Kontextualisierung und ein erweitertes Verständnis der zugrunde liegenden Strukturen zu ermöglichen.Im Entwurfsprozess wurden der methodische Ansatz sowie die Vorgehensweise für jedes Objekt einheitlich angewendet.Beginnend mit der Analyse des Standorts und der Besonderheiten des bestehenden Zustands, über die ersten intuitiven Entwurfsskizzen, bis hin zur Ermittlung und Untersuchung der für das jeweilige Objekt geeigneten Funktion, wurde der Prozess durch die Erstellung von Plänen, Axonometrien und Modellen unterstützt. Diese dienten der Visualisierung, Materialisierung und Konkretisierung der Maßnahmen, welche den Entwurfsprozess maßgeblich beeinflusst haben.

One of the four projects is the Store Fronts-Five Business Premises on The Main Street in Pernitz, Lower Austria, which addresses the strategy for reactivating and upgrading abandoned business premises through a creative process into places of social interaction as the main thesis of this work.The theoretical section deals with the methodological approach to project development through the analysis and examination of artistic practices that engage with the concepts of time, space, and sociality. In doing so, a context is created that serves as a framework for exploring new project potentials.Engaging with these artistic positions enables an expanded perspective on the determination of the central themes of this work and contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the nature of design itself.In the section addressing the methodological approach of the work, an associative method for analyzing specific narratives that are at the heart of this investigation is presented. This approach is implemented through a series of definitions of key terms closely related to the topic, along with their embedding in a broader system of symbols and codes. In this context, a connection is established with various elements of the work, such as sketches, collages, and other aspects of the design process, to allow for a deeper contextualization and an expanded understanding of the underlying structures.In the design process, the methodological approach and the procedures for each object were applied uniformly. Beginning with the analysis of the location and the characteristics of the existing condition, through the initial intuitive design sketches, and culminating in the identification and investigation of the suitable function for each respective object, the process was supported by the creation of plans, axonometric drawings, and models. These served to visualize, materialize, and concretize the measures that significantly influenced the design process.
