Our original article1 wrongly describes an approximation that was applied on page 036116-3: “At terahertz intraburst rates and in the low-N regime, the temporal coordinates tn = nΔt of the burst pulses are sufficiently small compared to the chirped pulse duration τs, hence the approximation α(nΔt)2 ≪ 0 can be done, and the temporal shift of the compressed pulse spectrum contribution E˜(P)c (ω(t − nΔt)) can be neglected.” The correct approximation required and assumed in the calculation is ∣α(nΔt)2 ∣ ≪ 1. The original article’s analysis, findings, and conclusions remain the same.
