Abstract:
T h e frict, ion behavior of rubber materials on various contact surfaces is strongly affected by t h e contact pressure and the relative sliding velocity. Based on a great number of experiment,^ of rubber block moving on concrete surfaces. a friction law is present,ed in this paper. It is characterized b~ a dependence on contact pressure and sliding velocity. T h e identification of the required parameters of this friction law was done by means of a least-square method followed by re-analyses of the experiments. Sumerical examples are used t o investigate t h e friction behavior of rubber materials on wet concrete.
