Warm mix asphalt (WMA) is a promising approach to do both: Reduce the energy consumption of the asphalt production and mitigate the exposure of asphalt workers to fumes and aerosols. WMA pavements should have the same quality and performance like conventional hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavements. The void structure of asphalt pavements is an important parameter to determine the quality of an asphalt pavement. In this research, the visual method of asphalt petrology was used to determine the void structure of WMA asphalt drill cores. It could be found out that the quality of the void structure was satisfying. Though, the accumulation of voids at the upper and lower margins of the asphalt layers was observed and requires further research.
