The topic of this thesis is the design of a train station in Innichen, South Tyrol. The main road and the railway separate Innichen into two parts. Until today there is no barrier-free access from one side to the other. A large area of today's station is unused due to the closure of the freight railway station and the opening of the borders. The relocation of the station has been set in the traffic plan of the municipality. In 2013 a competition was announced but until today it has still not been implemented. The aim of the study was to create a link between the separated village parts, to keep the station itself as minimalistic as possible and to respond to the seasonal variations and thus different numbers of users.
