Abstract: 
We present an efficient method for optimizing therotation angles of a collection of objects for max-imal time-averaged electromagnetic power flowin a specified direction. This method combines areduced-order model and multiple-scattering ap-proach for computing the electromagnetic fieldwith adjoint state optimization, and achievesfast and accurate results. We demonstrate ourmethod with a numerical example that shows adramatic increase in power flow.
