Abstract:
Social innovation tools are essential for development interventions. The study surveyeddifferent social innovation tools that have been successfully implemented in both the privateand public sectors. It then identified a number of them that can enhance the design,implementation, evaluation and scaling of development projects and programmes for impactand sustainability. Key focuses were devoted to the more widely used social innovation toolsof Theory of Change and the Business Model Canvas. To ensure its effectiveness, the adoptionof these tools should go hand-in-hand with organizational changes that stimulate and instill amindset of innovation.
