Flamm, U. (2013).

The aim of this work is to perform a comparison of the actual situations at the Vienna train stations referring to the Transport Resistance Model by Walther and the Transport Value Model by Mai. For this purpose local conditions at the Vienna train stations were examined and the applicable traffic potential within the city of Vienna was determined from statistical data. On this basis, the Transport Value was calculated using 3 different methods. In the course of the study it was shown that the Wien Meidling train station had the highest Transport Value in two of the three methods used, while the new Vienna Main Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof) has the highest Transport Value in only one method among the considered 4 Vienna long distance railway stations. Furthermore, detailed statistics on routes for changing means of transport and resistors to all the Viennese stations were created and explained.
