Zur Spaltrissbildung von textilbewehrtem Beton

Abstract

Mit Textilbeton den Betonbau neu denken. Dieser innovative Verbundwerkstoff, der in den letzten Jahrzehnten entwickelt wurde, gibt dem Ingenieur neue Möglichkeiten in der Projektierung und Planung in die Hand. Durch die Kombination der Werkstoffe Textilbewehrung und Hochleistungsbeton können schlanke und dauerhafte Bauteile hergestellt werden, die den Anwendungsbereich des klassischen Betonbaus erweitern. Aufgrund geänderter Randbedingungen ist eine Übertragung der Modelle aus dem Stahlbetonbau zur Beschreibung des Tragverhaltens nur bedingt möglich. Ein wesentlicher Aspekt diesbezüglich betrifft das Verbundverhalten. In zahlreichen Untersuchungen am Institut für Tragkonstruktionen der TU Wien konnte ein Abspalten der Betondeckung zufolge hoher Verbundbeanspruchungen beobachtet werden. War dieses Verbundversagen auch schon in den Anfängen der Textilbetonherstellung bekannt, so hat sich diese Problematik in den letzten Jahren weiter verschärft. Die Hintergründe, warum es zu einer Spaltrissbildung in der Ebene der textilen Bewehrung kommt, werden in der Literatur unterschiedlich beantwortet. Im Zuge dieser wissenschaftlichen Arbeit wurden experimentelle Untersuchungen durchgeführt, um die Verbundparameter zu separieren und deren Einfluss auf die Spaltrissbildung zu quantifizieren. Dabei konnte gezeigt werden, dass die Spaltrissbildung im Wesentlichen von der Geometrie der Rovinge abhängig ist. So bewirkt eine sehr flache Form Spaltkräfte, die primär orthogonal auf die Ebene der textilen Bewehrung gerichtet sind. Des weiteren treten hohe Spaltzugbeanspruchungen auf, wenn der Roving herstellungsbedingt in Längsrichtung eine periodische Dickenaufweitung aufweist. Voraussetzung hierfür ist, dass der Roving mit einem steifen Tränkungsmaterial imprägniert ist, sodass sich ein Formschluss der Bewehrung mit dem umgebenden Beton ergibt. Zur Charakterisierung der geometrischen Eigenschaften der jeweiligen Faserstränge wurden geometrische Kennwerte eingeführt, mit deren Hilfe eine genaue Beschreibung der Rovinge möglich ist. Um den Kraftfluss innerhalb des Bauteils zu untersuchen wurde ein numerisches Modell erstellt. Die Modellparameter dazu sind an den experimentellen Untersuchungen kalibriert worden. Im Zuge der numerischen Berechnungen konnten die Ergebnisse aus den experimentellen Untersuchungen validiert werden. Sind die Rovinge mit einem steifen Tränkungsmaterial versehen, wird die periodische Aufweitung des Rovings soweit in der Form gefestigt, dass ein Formschluss der Bewehrung mit dem umgebenden Beton gegeben ist. Bei Belastung stützt sich der Roving, ähnlich der Bewehrung im konventionellen Stahlbetonbau, auf dem Beton ab und erzeugt hohe Pressungen entlang dieser periodischen Aufweitung. Der Kraftfluss lässt sich äquivalent dazu mit einem Ringzugbandmodell beschreiben, wobei die Ringzugspannungen in Abhängigkeit der Rovinggeometrie nicht mehr gleichmäßig im Betonquerschnitt verteilt sind. Auf Basis dieser Untersuchungen wird ein Modell vorgestellt, dass eine Berechnung der auftretenden Spaltzugkräfte ermöglicht. Der vorgestellte Modellansatz beruht im wesentlichen auf geometrischen Annahmen und erlaubt eine einfache und schnelle Berechnung der auftretenden Spaltzugkräfte. Vorab wurde dazu eine umfangreiche numerische Parameterstudie durchgeführt, in der die geometrische Form des Faserstrangs anhand der eingeführten geometrischen Kennwerte variiert wurde. Ein Vergleich der mit dem vorgestellten Modellansatz berechneten Spaltzugkräfte mit den numerisch ermittelten Spaltzugkräften zeigt eine zufriedenstellende Übereinstimmung. Für die Herstellung von Textilbewehrungen wird in Bezug auf die Spaltrissbildung empfohlen, eine rundere Rovingform anzustreben, da dadurch die Neigung zu einer Spaltrissbildung am effektivsten reduziert werden kann.

Rethinking Structural Concrete by introducing textile reinforcement. This innovative composite material, which was developed in the last decades, opens up new possibilities in planning and development. By combining textile reinforcement with high performance concrete a crucial reduction of the material weight of structural components is possible, while simultaneously creating a very durable structure, thus expanding the application area of structural concrete. Due to dierent boundary conditions, a simple transfer of existing models for describing the structural behaviour is not possible. In particular, but not exclusively, this is related to the bond behaviour of textile reinforcement. In numerous investigations at the Institute of Structural Engineering at TU Wien a spalling of the concrete cover due to high bond stresses in between the textile reinforcement and the surrounding concrete was observed. While this failure criteria has been noticed in cases since the very beginning of the implementation of textile reinforcement, this problem intensified in the last couple of years. The theoretical background for the previously described failure mechanisms has not been fully understood until the present day with dierent declarations found in various literature. In the course of this scientific work experimental investigations were carried out, aiming to separate dierent bond mechanisms from each other and to quantify their influence on the longitudinal cracking. It can be shown that the geometrical characteristics of the rovings are the main influencing parameters on the longitudinal cracking. In the case of a flat roving geometry a high tendency for spalling of the concrete cover could be observed. This same eect occurs when there is a pronounced periodical thickening of the roving alongside its longitudinal axis. Major requirement therefore is a sti impregnation material of the roving, thus exhibiting an interlocking between the roving and the concrete. In dependency of the geometrical form of a roving, dierent parameters are introduced in this work, by which a clear specification of the rovings is given. To investigate the load transmission in the test specimens, a numerical model of a pull-out specimen was established. The model parameters were calibrated with the results of the experimental investigations. With this calculations the main conclusions from the experimental investigations can be verified. By impregnating the rovings with a sti impregnation material, the geometrical form is preserved, enabling an interlocking of the roving with the surrounding concrete. When the roving is loaded, high pressure forces occur where the roving is supported by the concrete. The load transmission can be described similar to the strut and tie model of conventional structural concrete, whereby in the case of textile reinforcement the resulting splitting forces are not orientated uniform alongside the concrete cross section, rather than orthogonally to the layer of the textile reinforcement. V Based on this studies a model is introduced, which allows an assessment of the occurring splitting forces. The theoretical assumptions of the model are of geometric character, making it possible to calculate the splitting forces in an easy way. In advance a broad parametrical study was carried out, diering the geometrical parameters, which were introduced before. Comparing the splitting forces, which were calculated with the new model approach, with the splitting forces calculated in the numerical study, a good agreement can be attested. With regard to the occurring splitting forces, it can be stated that a rounder cross section of the roving should be aspired in the production process.
